  1. Use 250 gms of caster sugar.
  2. Take 250 gms of golden syrup.
  3. Provide 3 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda.

Instructions to make Cinder toffee:

  1. Line a deep square cake tin about 10x10.
  2. Then heat the sugar and golden syrup until it reaches 149c.
  3. Then take off heat and quickly stir in the bicarbonate of soda until all mixed in.
  4. Then quickly pour into the tin and let it set for a couple of hours.
  5. Then break up in pieces and store in a air tight container.
