The ingredients needed to cook Mabou-tofu:
- Take 200 g of Tofu.
- Prepare 200 g of Mints Beef.
- Take 1 of Onion or 10cm of Leek.
- Provide 2 cup of Chicken stock.
- Take 2 tbsp of Red Miso.
- Use 1 tbsp of Red Chilli Paste.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Finely Chopped Ginger.
- Take 1 tsp of Samshou (Japanese pepper).
- Provide 1 tbsp of Arrowroot powder(starch).
Steps to make Mabou-tofu:
- Chop the onion finely and cut the tofu in 2cm dise.
- Fry onion and mints beef with a little oil in a big fring pan until onion become clear color.
- Add other ingredients except arrowroot. After simmer 5 mins, add arrowroot paste (1 tbsp arrowroot & 3tbsp water) for stickiness.
- Serve it on rice or separately.
