The ingredients needed to cook Tomato Chutney:
- Get 500 grams of tomatoes.
- Use 5 of green chillies.
- Use 1 teaspoon of Jeera/cumin seeds.
- You need 1 tsp of tamarind.
- Get To taste of Salt.
- You need 1 cup of Dhaniya leaves(coriander leaves).
- Get 1/2 tsp of rai(mustard seeds).
- Provide 1/4 tsp of hing(asafoetida).
- Use 2-3 tsp of groundnut oil.
- Use 1 tsp of urad dal(split black gram).
- Get 1/4 tsp of haldi(turmeric).
Steps to make Tomato Chutney:
- Heat a pan and add one table spoon of oil. Once oil gets heated, add Jeera. Then add green chillies, tomatoes, turmeric and salt. Mix it well. Cover it and cook it on low flame for about ten minutes. Then add tamarind and cook for two minutes. See that tomatoes are fully cooked. Switch off the flame. Then add Dhaniya leaves and mix it well..
