- Heat 1tsp of oil in a non-stick pan and add oats and sautรฉ on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes or till they turn light brown colour, stir occasionally. Keep aside..
- In a pan kadai heat 1 tbsp oil and splutter mustard, cumin seeds, urad dal, and walnut. saute until turn golden brown..
- Now add ginger, chilli and onion. saute well.Now add carrot, beans, peas and tomatoes, turmeric and salt and mix well..
- Add 2 tbsp water, cover and simmer for 5 minutes..
- Now add 1 cup water and to taste salt get it to a boil. once the water comes to a boil, add in roasted oats and mix well..
- Mix until the oats absorb all the water.now cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until oats gets cooked well..
- Add sugar and lemon juice mix well..
- Serve healthy oats upma immediately and enjoy..
